Over the
past few weeks boarders at the Equestrian
Center have been coming together to clean up
and tidy the stable area. A general barn clean
up day was held on Saturday, September 15th.
At the suggestion of a new boarder, Kathy
Roussin, we have installed new gates in both
the lower and upper arenas with the plan that
jump standards, poles and plant stands be
stored next to the show shed. We plan to have
racks which will keep the poles and standards
tidy while not in use. |

A big thank
you needs to go out to Michael Neveu and
employees for their help in getting security
cameras installed in and around the stables.
Although, in general, the stable area is safe,
there have been concerns over the years about
theft, the general safety of horses and dark
areas of the barn. The security cameras are a
much needed addition to the Equestrian Center.
Through our monthly horse shows we were able to
donate $1000 towards the purchase of those
cameras. A great big thank you to Doug
Lundberg, he and Tami board their horses there,
for finishing the security camera project.
Other improvements continue at the stables.

Although our
monthly Gymkhana horse shows continue through
October, our Buckle Series horse shows have
concluded. It is my pleasure to announce this
year’s winners of the silver buckles in the
following divisions: Corin Lamont and Briley
Dahlem tied for the Leadline buckle.
Congratulations to those two riders. In the
English division, 12 and under the buckle went
to Brittany Mihall, 16 and Under to Chloe
Ferguson and 17 and Over to Stacy Sandstrom all
of Yosemite Lakes Park. Congratulations to both
Brittany and Stacy, this is the first time they
have won a buckle at YLP. In the Western
division, 12 and Under went to Chloe Ferguson,
16 and Under went to Shyanne Watson of Madera,
in 17 and Over the buckle went to Jodi Bagwell
of Oakhurst. Jodi recently returned to YLP
having shown with us some time ago.
