Once again,
boarders are preparing for the upcoming winter
weather at the stables. Recently at our two
barn clean-up days we were able to sand our
stalls, grade the arenas, and weed eat around
the center, make repairs and do general clean
up at the facility. |

Thanks to
Doug and Tami Lundberg, and many other
volunteers, we now have a new telephone pole
planter next to the entry gate into the
stables. Telephone poles were cut to fit, thank
you Ed Gribben and Andy Plantaz, placed, and
filled with fill dirt and manure, of course,
and planted by Doug. It’s a wonderful addition
to the stables. If you would like to get a
little fall planting inspiration you should
stop by and check it out. |

We recently
had a wonderful Halloween celebration, horsy
style, thanks to Stacy Soulis and crew. This
has been an annual tradition at the stables for
the last couple of years. We have a pot luck
dinner, hot dogs, hamburgers, desserts and
conduct horsy games for the kids and adults.
There was a horse costume contest (it’s amazing
what some of those horses will tolerate), human
costume contest, gymkhana, candy scramble and
wheel barrow races. It’s always a lot of fun.
Thanks again, to Stacy for taking this on, I
bet she won’t miss another barn meeting soon.

I have been remiss in welcoming some new
folks and their horses to the stables, so here
it goes; a warm welcome goes out to new YLP
residents and now boarders, the Strong Family
with their grey Arabian gelding, Bee, Dakota
with Banner, Jazmin with Preacher, Doug with
Joe, Jackie Hofer and her herd, Amanda and
Kathy Roussin and the Lynch family with JJ. |
